Clone Builders Speed Control: Speed and Noclip HUD Movement Tools

The Clone Builders HUD includes Speed and Noclip controls for moving around builds. See what noclip does, how these movement tools differ from clone work-speed boosts, and camera tips for inspecting large constructions.

Quick answer

Clone Builders keeps its player movement tools on the HUD: Speed and Noclip sit on the same control bar as Tools/Edit, Minigames, and Saves, and you can use them to get around while your crew works. Noclip lets you fly through your structures — gameplay shows it used to cross a gap at a build. The exact Speed adjustments and the noclip toggle input aren't covered here; check the HUD controls in game.

  • Speed and Noclip are navigation utilities grouped apart from the build menu and the crew management window.
  • Observed noclip use: crossing a gap directly instead of walking around or jumping.
  • Not the same as clone work-speed boosts: builds run at 1x by default, with 2x-5x tiers via Work Faster! and a +10% group boost.
  • The only boost documented to affect your own movement is five minutes of walkspeed earned when a friend joins through your invite (once per day per friend) — it is not the HUD Speed control.

Movement tools on the HUD

While your crew works on a build, you can move around the server and inspect what other players are constructing. The movement utilities sit on the game's HUD control bar, which includes controls such as Speed, Noclip, Tools/Edit, Minigames, and Saves. Speed and Noclip belong to this navigation group rather than the build menu or crew management window. Because the list is framed as "controls such as," it may not be exhaustive, and control names and locations can shift after updates.

Using Noclip

Noclip lets you fly through your structures. In a Clone Builders gameplay video, a player reaches a gap in the area he is building in, turns noclip on, and moves across: "There's a gap here... no clip. Day one of no clipping just like that. Okay. Oh, that's so cool." Instead of walking around or jumping, the player crosses the gap directly — consistent with the flying-through-structures behavior of the tool.

Two things this page can't tell you: the exact button, tap, or key that toggles noclip (the gameplay footage doesn't show or name that interaction), and whether noclip works through other players' builds or carries any restrictions. Look for the control among the HUD utilities and test its behavior in game.

Speed control vs clone work-speed boosts

Keep the HUD movement tools separate from the build-speed system, which changes how fast clones work — not how you move:

  • Builds run at 1x speed by default, and higher tiers of 2x-5x can be unlocked through the Work Faster! option.
  • A group boost of +10% clone work speed remains active while you belong to the Synoptic Interactive group.
  • If a friend joins through your invite, you get five minutes of walkspeed; each friend can trigger this reward once per day.

Of those three, only the friend-invite walkspeed reward affects your own movement, and it is a time-limited invite reward — not the HUD Speed control. Specific values, ranges, or keybinds for the HUD Speed control itself aren't covered here.

When each navigation tool is useful

Noclip fits moments like crossing a gap or moving through your own structure quickly. The rest of the time, normal movement and camera positioning handle inspection:

  • A large object can extend beyond the camera view and look incomplete even while construction continues. Move backward to see the entire shape, then approach the lower sections or unfinished areas.
  • Walk around the construction area while it develops to judge whether the subject is recognizable, oversized, or positioned incorrectly.
  • Camera movement helps inspect large creations; the beginner habit is to move back when the project outgrows the screen.
  • If your character becomes stuck near a structure, use normal movement and jump controls first rather than repeatedly creating new jobs.

Control names, locations, ranges, and noclip behavior can change with game updates — this reference reflects the game as documented on September 27, 2026, so recheck the HUD in game after patches.
